Codub Consulting Ltd., a leading provider of Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) solutions, is delighted to announce the successful migration of Perfetti Van Melle Nigeria Ltd.’s (PVM) IBM Maximo 7.6 software from on-premises servers to the Azure cloud platform.
Perfetti Van Melle (PVM) is one of the world’s largest manufacturers and distributors of confectionery and chewing gum with an annual global turnover of €3 billion Euros. In 2017, the Perfetti Van Melle factory in Agbara, Nigeria approached Codub to help source an asset management system to replace their processes which included both paper and excel driven approaches. We have been supporting PVM since then.
The migration project in the first quarter of 2024, involved the installation of the Maximo system on PVM’s Azure cloud platform, encompassing both Test and Production environments. Additionally, Codub managed the migration of the database and implemented backup scripts and processes to ensure a seamless transition.
A crucial aspect of the migration process was the rigorous User Acceptance Testing (UAT) conducted at each stage before the final Go-Live. This meticulous approach ensured minimal disruption to PVM’s operations while maximising the benefits of the new cloud-based infrastructure.
The entire migration process, from planning to execution, was completed in less than a month. Following the successful migration, Codub delivered comprehensive technical documentation to PVM, ensuring that all systems and processes were thoroughly documented for future reference.
“We are pleased to have successfully migrated Perfetti Van Melle Nigeria Ltd.’s IBM Maximo 7.6 software to the Azure cloud platform,” said Angela, Director of Operations at Codub. “This migration represents a significant milestone in our ongoing partnership with PVM, and we are committed to supporting them in their digital transformation journey.”
Codub Consulting extends its heartfelt gratitude to the technical team at Perfetti Van Melle Nigeria Ltd. and all the users involved, especially those who participated in the testing phases. Their cooperation and support were instrumental in the smooth execution of the project.
“We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to the Codub team for their dedication and hard work throughout the project,” said Ishaku Maxwell, the IT Manager at Perfetti Van Melle Nigeria Ltd. “Despite the challenges encountered, the Codub team demonstrated unwavering commitment to delivering a successful outcome.”
